I have had this apple cake recipe for a few years now, and love how easy it is to make. It is a delicious combination and great cake to whip up when you have unexpected guests or need to take something when you are visiting.
150g butter, melted
1 tin of apple pie filling
1 cup raw sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup walnuts
Preheat oven to 160°C and line a large baking tin with baking paper
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
Spoon into the cake tin.
Bake at for 55 – 60 minutes or until golden and when a skewer comes out clean
Leave in tin for 10 minutes then turn out on rack to cool.
